How soon can my child start the program?
If there is space available, your child can start as soon as all the necessary paperwork is complete and has been returned to the center. The registration form with the deposit and registration fee must be mailed to and received by the Play Keepers office. The entire process takes about a week to ten days.
Is there a minimum amount of days each child must attend?
We require that you sign up for at least 2 days per week.
Is there a sibling discount?
We offer a 10% discount for each additional child enrolled.
Is Play Keepers open on half days?
On half days, we open when school closes and remain open until 6:00pm
Is Play Keepers open on snow days?
All centers are closed if Baltimore County Schools are closed due to inclement weather. Policies vary from center to center concerning delayed openings or early closings due to inclement weather. Contact your center director for more information.
Is Play Keepers open on Professional Development days?
We do open at several full-day sites for people who pre-register. We are open from 8:00am until 5:00pm on Professional Development days.
Do you offer drop in care?
We do not offer drop in care.
Do you provide transportation?
We do not provide transportation.
What if I am running late and canŐt get there until after 6pm?
Our late fee policy goes into effect at 6:01. If you are late, you will be charged $1.00 per minute you are late. This fee is payable to the staff person on duty as his/her fee for caring for your child(ren).
What if I cannot pick up my child?
Any person on your childŐs emergency card is authorized to pick up your child. If you must send someone not on your childŐs card, please call the center to give the Director the name of the person. We will ask for photo identification from anyone we do not recognize.
Do the children receive any snacks?
We provide a snack in the morning session as well as the afternoon. Snack menus are posted at the center. The morning snack is not a meal substitute. It is only a snack.
Do the children go outside?
We take the children outside everyday as long as it is not actively raining. Please be sure your children have the appropriate outdoor clothing.
What is your homework policy?
If you would like your child to begin homework at Play Keepers, please let your child know your expectations. We provide an area for those children who would like to begin their homework.
What if my child becomes ill?
We will call you and expect you to pick up your child within 45 minutes. A late fee will go into effect at the end of that 45-minute period. If you are unable to arrive within this time, please make arrangements for someone else to pick up your child. We provide an isolated area for your child where he/she can lie down.

We offer several summer programs. Please call the main office at 410-484-6220 for more information.
Do I have to give any notice if I no longer need your services?
In order to receive your $100 deposit back, we must have two weeks notice if your child will no longer need our services.
